Case Study - Efficient Light
Efficient Light are the UK's leading specialist lighting company that supplies energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs and LED lights.
Efficient Light's e-commerce enabled website allows staff to add details of new products as they expand their product range. Site Pilot was the obvious answer, enabling the staff to keep the content of the site fresh and up to date with no knowledge of HMTL or scripting.
My House - Adobe Flex Application
'My House' is an application that allows visitors to the Efficient Light website to find energy efficient replacement lightbulbs by answering a few simple questions. Each visitor can add light fitting details for each room in their house, the application then returns a selection of suitable replacements from which the visitor can choose the most appropriate. Once replacement bulbs have been selected they are then only one click away from adding them to the shopping basket.
The application was built using Adobe Flex and, combined with a .NET webservice, queries a Microsoft SQL Server database. At present this is the only application of it's kind that enables people to search for low energy lightbulbs.
